Sauerkraut making workshop: ''Hyperlocalizing Resistance - Fermentation as form of care and place-making''

" Hyperlocalizing Resistance - Fermentation  as form of care and place-making" is a workshop organized by Otherwise and facilitated by Ana-Maria Gătejel.

In this workshop  we invite you to use all your senses to meet the more-than-human, reconnect with your body and mold to habits in symbiotic place-making. By engaging in collective sauerkraut we will explore ways in which intentional acts of care are performed by humans and more-than-human beings through the practice of fermentation.

Re-localizing food systems can be done everyday from our kitchens through our bodies and wide with our human and more-than-human communities.

Throughout the workshop we will:

1. Reconnect with our senses and meet our ferment companions.
2. Explore the relationships of care inherent in the fermentation practice.
3. Perform place-making and entanglements with the more-than-human.

As for the Sauerkraut-making we kindly ask to bring with you a small jar and if you have an apron.

Please be aware that there are limited spots, so lets us know if can't come anymore in the form or by sending an email to otherwise@wur.nl

See you there on Wednesday, 17th of April, 6 pm, at the Clockhouse's canteen (first floor).

Important note: Unfortunately, the building is not accessible for wheelchair users!

Registration is now full!
