PLURIVERSAL THINKING

Pluriversality is a newly emerging concept from decolonial thinking that advocates for the recognition of diverse forms of thinking and being, whether that's through worldviews, cultural practices, or belief systems. The focus of Pluriversality lies in looking beyond the widely accepted Western Eurocentric paradigm of modernity. It encourages a world where multiple ontologies can coexist and thrive together. Within OtherWise, we recognize the deep need for Pluriversal thought, diversity and alternative hierarchies. Pluriversality is also, in our opinion, a necessary step in working towards a socio-environmentally just world, which is why we see much overlap between decolonial ethics and political ecology in this theme. Some topics we would particularly like to explore include Indigenous knowledge systems, ancient wisdom traditions, mysticism, alternative ontologies, decolonization, Political Ecology and Spiritual Ecology.
